Work continues

Another hour and a half on the still life this evening. If I posted a pic­ture, it would look a lot like the last one, but the paint sur­face is a lot more sat­is­fy­ing. There were too many blotchy tonal tran­si­tions, too many places where a blob of paint needed to become a sub­tle gra­da­tion. So I oiled out very thinly with wal­nut oil and went back over the fab­ric and the base tones of the bowl, mak­ing lots of small adjust­ments. Much better.
