Figure drawing

I’ve found a local ate­lier that does fig­ure draw­ing in two and a half hour poses. When I moved to this area, I attended a few ses­sions at another group that does the more typ­i­cal 5, 10, and 15 minute ges­ture poses. Those just drive me crazy. Even one ses­sion seems like only enough time to get started.

    This looks like a char­coal draw­ing. Is it? and what sur­face e do you use? Do you do much fig­ure painting?

    My web­site is under con­struc­tion. The new verion has been slow. The items you see in the cur­rent site were just flung at the com­puter so that I could feel bet­ter about let­ting peo­ple get to know my work. Lit­tle did I know that this very tem­po­rary set-up was going to remain for over two years. Yoiks!

      Erin,

      It’s just graphite on reg­u­lar draw­ing paper. I haven’t done much fig­ure paint­ing in the last three years (since my son was born) but I stud­ied fig­ure paint­ing for two years prior to that.
