Figure drawing

I’ve found a local atelier that does figure drawing in two and a half hour poses. When I moved to this area, I attended a few sessions at another group that does the more typical 5, 10, and 15 minute gesture poses. Those just drive me crazy. Even one session seems like only enough time to get started.

    This looks like a charcoal drawing. Is it? and what surface e do you use? Do you do much figure painting?

    My website is under construction. The new verion has been slow. The items you see in the current site were just flung at the computer so that I could feel better about letting people get to know my work. Little did I know that this very temporary set-up was going to remain for over two years. Yoiks!

      It's just graphite on regular drawing paper. I haven't done much figure painting in the last three years (since my son was born) but I studied figure painting for two years prior to that.
